Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo Beef Up Itinerary
It was a different world back when Benatar and Giraldo began cranking out hits almost as regularly as the sun rising in the east. Beginning with “Heartbreaker,” Benatar and her favorite axeman dominated radio as well as the early days of MTV with songs such as “Hit Me With Your Best Shot,” “You Better Run” and “Love Is A Battlefield.”
This year the couple are celebrating 35 years of rocking together.
“35 years ago, ‘Heartbreaker’ was the catalyst for it all,” Benatar said. “It’s hard to believe that so much time has passed. We’re excited to be celebrating this personal and musical milestone. The summer tour should be an incredible, shared experience with the audience.”
Giraldo also commented on the anniversary tour, remarking that the magic they created in the early days is what propelled them through more than three decades of music.
“From the very beginning our chemistry was undeniable,” Giraldo said. “This is the driving force behind everything we do. After 35 years of playing together, we’re looking forward to the summer tour and the future, which will surely be … adventurous.”
