Industry Noize: Beats Music Buys Topspin

Beats Music – the digital streaming music service launched by Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine – has completed a circle, having bought software company Topspin.

Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival, Empire Polo Field, Indio, Calif.

Ian Rogers, CEO of Beats Music, was CEO of Topspin before moving to his present company. Topspin’s software is already integrated with Beats Music’s service.

Beats Music is attempting to compete with services like Spotify.
