Australia: Lorde Returns, More Perry, Timberlake

Lorde follows up her current U.S. shows with six all-ages stadium dates in Australia. Frontier Touring penciled her in April 24 to May 6.

Lorde had her first taste of international success outside New Zealand in Australia, where her “Royals” hit is six-times platinum and her Pure Heroine album is double platinum.

The Dainty Group added five more dates for the Australian leg of Katy Perry’s “Prismatic World Tour” in November.

The tour now numbers 12 concerts. Live Nation Australasia added two more Australian dates for Justin Timberlake’s “The 20/20 Experience World Tour.”

Scottish band Biffy Clyro, which toured on the Soundwave Festival in February and sold out two headlining club shows, returns Sept. 4-12 with five theatre dates for Chugg Entertainment.

“Low desert U.S. punks” Brant Bjork makes its live debut with five club shows May 23 to June 2 through Nightmare Music and 123 Agency.

Also making her debut in April is Canada’s Lindi Ortega. Love Police and Heartstop Music booked her for two club shows in Sydney and Melbourne, and slots on the Gumball, National Folk and Boogie festivals.

UK DJ and producer Girl Unit brings his high-tech shows to four clubs July 11-19 booked through Soapbox Events.
