Lana Del Rey Extends U.S. Tour

Lana Del Rey has filled in her U.S. spring schedule with more than a dozen dates. You won’t want to wait to get your tickets because the initial gigs she booked sold out immediately, setting records in Las Vegas and Phoenix.

Las Vegas promoter Huston Powell of C3 Presents says, “Lana Del Rey is the fastest selling show in the 3+ years the Cosmopolitan has been open.”

The singer/songwriter also has plenty of fans in Phoenix. Live Nation’s Southwest Music President Terry Burke says, “I can count on one hand how many artists have sold out in one day at Comerica Theatre, and none of them did it faster than Lana Del Rey.”

Del Rey is working on the follow-up to her 2012 sophomore album, Born To Die. Ultraviolence is reportedly due sometime this year.

Her 2012 EP Paradise was nominated for a Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Album and the tune she wrote for Baz Lurhmann’s “The Great Gatsby” soundtrack, “Young and Beautiful,” was nominated for Best Song Written for Visual Media. The Cedric Gervais remix of the Born To Die track “Summertime Sadness” won for Best Remixed Recording.
