Urban vs. Swift Downunder

Two of the biggest country music tours downunder last year, Keith Urban and Taylor Swift, are up against each other in the CMC (Country Music Channel) awards.

The two are nominated for CMC International Artist of the Year, alongside Carrie Underwood, Chris Young and Toby Keith The awards ceremony is March 14 at Hope Estate Winery in Hunter Valley, and also serves as launch of the CMC Rocks The Hunter festival.

Singers Adam Brand and Morgan Evans lead the nominations with three each, followed by O’Shea, Jasmine Rae, Lee Kernaghan and Amber Lawrence.

Up for CMC Oz Artist Of The Year are Brand, O’Shea, Lawrence, Evans and McAlister Kemp.

More than 400,000 viewers voted online over an eight-week period, CMC reported. A 30-minute special on the awards premieres on CMC March 31.
