Fashion designer Scott died on Monday of an apparent suicide.  An assistant discovered Scott’s body hanging from a doorknob in her New York apartment Monday morning, according to published reports.

At first the Stones only scrubbed the band’s first date – March 19 at the Perth Arena, but now have decided to postpone the entire tour scheduled for New Zealand and Australia.  Fans are advised to hold on to their tickets until further notice.

While announcing the postponements, the band thanked fans for their support and said they hope to reschedule the shows at a later date.

Here are the postponed shows:

March 19 – Perth, Perth Arena
March 22 – Adelaide, Adelaide Oval
March 25 – Sydney, Allphones Arena
March 28 – Melbourne, Rod Laver Arena
March 30 – Woodend, Hanging Rock
April 2 – Boondall, Brisbane Entertainment Centre
April 5 – Auckland, New Zealand, Mt Smart Stadium

Jagger posted the following tribute to Scott on Facebook:

“I am still struggling to understand how my lover and best friend could end her life in this tragic way.

“We spent many wonderful years together and had made a great life for ourselves.

“She had great presence and her talent was much admired, not least by me.

“I have been touched by the tributes that people have paid to her, and also the personal messages of support that I have received.

 “I will never forget her.”

Jagger also issued a statement through the band’s publicist that said a New York Post story claiming the couple had broken up was “100% not true” and that the newspaper’s report was “a horrible and inaccurate piece of gossip.”
