Arrest In Denver Concert Killing

An arrest has been made in a decade-old shooting death outside Denver’s Bluebird Café.

George “Simm Ryder” Allen IV is charged with homicide in the Aug. 4, 2004, death of Kurt “LK” Levias at a rap concert at the venue, according to the Denver Post.

Levias, a bodyguard and the cousin of one of the performers, was shot during a melee that spilled into the street outside the Bluebird after local rap artist Lady MEnace took the stage.

“I’ve been waiting for this for 10 long years,” Sherri Landrum, Lavias’ mother, told the paper. Landrum said homicide detectives notified her of the arrest and that Allen confessed to the slaying, waived extradition and was expected back in Denver “in a few days.”
