Lady Gaga Adds Six
The new dates are additions to an already packed itinerary for “Lady Gaga’s artRAVE: the ARTPOP ball” tour, presented by Live Nation Global Touring. Arthur Fogel, LN’s president of global touring and chairman of global music, said ticket sales for the tour are “fantastic.”
“We’re thrilled to be able to add dates to meet the incredible demand for fans,” Fogel said. “It is going to be a great tour on all levels.”
Designed to provide intimacy in an arena setting, the stage design for the tour features runways made of translucent material that connect the main stage with several smaller platforms. Fans can dance and walk under the runways, putting them closer to Gaga than in an arena’s conventional staging.
Lady Gaga returns to the road March 28 when she begins a seven-night run at New York’s Roseland Ballroom, making her the last act to play the historic venue before it closes its doors. With a schedule seemingly stretching to the horizon, Gaga has dates through mid-November with runs through Australia and Europe as well as North America.
