TicketNetwork Suit Proceeds
After years in legal limbo, a defamation lawsuit filed by TicketNetwork against the Horace Bushnell Memorial Hall in Hartford, Conn., and its president, David Fay, will be allowed to proceed.

A Superior Court judge denied March 12 a motion filed by the Bushnell to dismiss the filing, according to the Hartford Courant.
The suit accuses Fay of making false and defamatory statements against TicketNetwork during a Connecticut state legislative hearing in 2011.
The venue and Fay have contended the suit should be dismissed because statements made during testimony in legislative proceedings are privileged, and thereby protected from defamation claims.
Ticketnetwork’s suit does note that Fay made similar statements to a local newspaper, however.
