Fleetwood Mac Announces 33 City Tour

Not only is one of rock’s most treasured bands hitting the road for a 33 city tour, but this time Fleetwood Mac is welcoming an old friend back into the fold – Christine McVie.

Rejoining the group after a 16-year absence, McVie’s return was first announced by Mick Fleetwood in January during his appearance at the BBQ Bluesfest in Maui.  While she hasn’t traveled with the Mac since 1998’s The Dance outing, McVie did appear with the band during the group’s 2013 London concert at the O2 Arena where she performed “Don’t Stop.”

“It was so comfortable being back onstage with them as if no time had passed, and then we all started talking and it feels like the time is right,” McVie said about the London reunion.  “I’m really happy.”

The band is happy as well, and issued a statement saying, “As far as we’re concerned, she’s never really left.  We are overjoyed to have Christine back on stage with us.”

McVie, along with her ex-husband John McVie plus Lindsey Buckingham, Stevie Nicks and Fleetwood, will launch Fleetwood Mac’s North American tour in Minneapolis in late September.
