Dropping May 6, English Rain features five songs from Aplin’s debut album of the same name, a long player that has yet to receive a proper United States release. But that doesn’t mean her stateside fans haven’t heard at least one of the tracks.  A snippet of “Power Of Love” appeared in promos for the new ABC Television series “Resurrected.”  As a single, “Power Of Love” hit No. 1 on iTunes charts for the U.K. and Australia.

The EP also features a new track – Aplin’s cover of Joni Mitchell’s “A Case Of You.”

Aplin will launch her seven-city tour of the U.S. the same day the EP is released. Here are the dates:

May 6 – New York, N.Y., The Studio @ Webster Hall
May 11 – Philadelphia, Pa., World Cafe Live
May 13 – Chicago, Ill., Schubas Tavern
