It also lists another 87 acts that have been added to the bill, including the Pixies, Skrillex, Elbow, and M.I.A. The Pixies last played Glastonbury in 1989.
The festival previously named eight acts: Arcade Fire, Dolly Parton, Lily Allen, Disclosure, The Black Keys, Blondie, Lana Del Rey, and Warpaint.
“We always take great pride in putting a great British band on to headline the Pyramid and this time it’s Kasabian, who are one of the most requested bands from Glastonbury-goers and an amazing live act,” Emily Eavis – daughter of festival founder Michael Eavis – said. “We’re very chuffed to have some of the biggest acts in the world, like Arcade Fire, Dolly Parton and Jack White, making one-off festival appearances.”
Saturday night’s Pyramid stage headliner is yet to be announced.
