Kasabian To Headline Glastonbury

Kasabian will headline the Sunday night at Glastonbury, according to The Guardian, the festival’s official media partner.

It also lists another 87 acts that have been added to the bill, including the PixiesSkrillexElbow, and M.I.A. The Pixies last played Glastonbury in 1989.

The festival previously named eight acts: Arcade FireDolly PartonLily AllenDisclosureThe Black KeysBlondieLana Del Rey, and Warpaint.

“We always take great pride in putting a great British band on to headline the Pyramid and this time it’s Kasabian, who are one of the most requested bands from Glastonbury-goers and an amazing live act,” Emily Eavis – daughter of festival founder Michael Eavis – said. “We’re very chuffed to have some of the biggest acts in the world, like Arcade Fire, Dolly Parton and Jack White, making one-off festival appearances.”

Saturday night’s Pyramid stage headliner is yet to be announced.
