Hip-Hop, Opera Finalists In Pacific Music Awards
Multi-platinum hip-hop/soul singer Ladi6 and chart-topping opera trio Sol3 Mio lead finalists for the Pacific Music Awards, May 8 at Vodafone Events Centre in Manukau, New Zealand.
Other finalists include hip-hop singer David Dallas, reggae bands BrownHill and the Tomorrow People, gospel act Kiligi Ta’ale, singer-songwriter Bella Kalolo and R&B singer Mz J.
This year’s awards include an International Achievement Award to reward the Pacific musicians living elsewhere in the world.
Up for the gong are Hawaiian reggae/hip-hop voice Fiji, New Caledonian band Kalaga’la and American-based Samoan reggae singer Spawnbreezie.
Another new award is the British Council Aspiring International Artist, who will get a trip to the UK for performances.
