Odds & Ends: Usher, Queens Of The Stone Age, Failure

Usher will close out Summerfest … Queens Of The Stone Age adds a few North American dates to its July schedule … Failure announces its first headline tour since the alternative rock band split in 1997.

U.S. fans who want to see Usher in the next few months will need to make a trip to Milwaukee because his appearance at is the singer’s only gig in the States this summer.

“The Voice” coach will take the stage at Marcus Amphitheater July 6. Summerfest’s last show of 2014 also includes special guest Bebe Rexha

"A Decade of Difference," Hollywood Bowl, Los Angeles, Calif.

The festival is scheduled June 25-29 and July 1-6 with a lineup that includes Bruno Mars, Lady Gaga, Brad Paisley, Outkast, Dave Matthews Band, Zac Brown Band and many more major acts.

Tickets for Usher’s performance go on sale Saturday, April 12 at 11 a.m. Central Time. For more information visit Summerfest.com.

Queens Of The Stone Age has expanded its North American itinerary to include stops in Montreal, Bangor, Port Chester and Philadelphia.

A variety of presales are scheduled this week including venue presales, a radio presale and an American Express cardholder presale. The band is hosting a Facebook presale that begins Wednesday, April 9. Tickets go on sale to the general public Friday, April 11.

Failure will embark on its first headline tour in a long, long time come May. 

After breaking up in 1997, Failure returned to the road for its first reunion gig in February, followed by a March excursion supporting Tool. According to Failure’s Facebook page, the reunited lineup features Ken Andrews, Greg Edwards, Kellii Scott & Troy Van Leeuwen.

Failure will be seeing some more of Tool’s frontman in May when the band plays Maynard James Keenan’s 50th birthday party, dubbed “.”
