Ticketing Firm Showbiz In Administration

Australian premium ticketing company Showbiz went into voluntary administration April 3 while it restructures itself.

The company works across music tours, sports, music theatre and major events. It sold tickets for recent shows by Eminem, Bon Jovi, Lionel Richie as well as for the Vivid LIVE festival and “Grease The Musical.”

All ticket sales were frozen, while the administrator PFK Lawler began contacting customers regarding existing ticket purchases, which include Michael Bublé shows in late April and early May. AEG Ogden executive director Rod Pilbeam told the Sydney Morning Herald “there will be no issue” with Showbiz customers using their tickets for the Bublé shows.

Showbiz CEO Craig McMaster stated: “We have been overwhelmed by the support for Showbiz from our producer, promoter and venue partners as we work through this difficult time.

Our team is working hard with the administrators to ensure the best possible outcomes for our customers and clients as they explore restructuring options for Showbiz.”
