Azoff MSG Buys Stake In Burns Entertainment
Burns Entertainment, which is reaching its 50th anniversary, represents consumer brands and matches them with celebrities. If there is one music manager who will try to bring in income opportunities for his clients, it’s Irving Azoff, whose company is in partnership with Madison Square Garden Company.
Burns has matched artists to brands such as Dr. Pepper Snapple Group, Audi and Sprint, among hundreds of others. The partnership will be called Burns Entertainment & Sports Marketing.
“We are thrilled to have Burns as part of the AMSGE family,” Azoff said. “Bob Willliams, Doug Shabelman, and Marc Ippolito have built a globally recognized business and we are looking forward to helping take it to new heights.”
Doug Burns founded Burns Entertainment in 1970. Former PR exec Bob Williams bought the company in 1993, with Shabelman and Ippolito becoming partners later that decade.
