Owner and operator Delaware North Companies is reportedly putting up $70 million to help improve fan experience and expand retail and office spaces at the building, which opened in 1995.

“These renovations over the next 24 months I hope will really transform and bring the Garden to the forefront – to set the market standard, if you will – for fan experience, both in-game and also really from the moment when a customer exits their car and begins to enter our facility,” Delaware North Head Charlie Jacobs told the Boston Globe.

Improvements include renovated concourses with new concession stands, arena-wide wireless and the relocation and expansion of the building’s Proshop.

Renovations are scheduled to kick off following NHL playoffs.
