Roger Daltrey Attending IndyCar At Long Beach

Daltrey’s latest amazing journey takes him to the streets of Long Beach, where the famed frontman will mix racing with philanthropy at the Toyota Grand Prix.

Daltrey will attend the IndyCar Series race to raise awareness of Teen Cancer America. Daltrey, inducted in 1990 into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of The Who, co-founded Teen Cancer America with The Who bandmate Pete Townshend. The organization seeks to ensure that cancer patients throughout the United States have access to special units and treatments.

Daltrey’s charity in the United Kingdom, Teenage Cancer Trust, has built 27 such units in major hospitals.

IndyCar Series drivers Ryan Hunter-Reay, Justin Wilson and Scott Dixon will join together to serve as TCA ambassadors. Daltrey will announce a new TCA initiative, the Road Rebellion Tour, in addition to riding in the “Fastest Seat in Sports” two-seater driven by Mario Andretti on the formation laps before the IndyCar Series standing start for the 80-lap race on the 1.968-mile, 11-turn street course.
