Meet ICM In St. Louis

A biennial festival series booked by ICM Partners in St. Louis is all but a done deal, with the April 14 approval of the city’s Board of Alderman and the promise of Mayor Francis Slay’s signature within 10 days.

“Today’s vote marks an important milestone in bringing world-class festivals to St. Louis to create vibrant new music experiences in the region,” ICM Partners said in a statement. “St. Louis is steeped in rick culture and history, and we are excited to partner with the city to further grow its reputation as an iconic music destination.”

The festivals – one rock, one country – will take place on Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends at the city’s Gateway Mall, near the famous Gateway Arch and the Mississippi River waterfront, beginning in 2015, according to the St. Louis Business Journal.

ICM Partners is a partner in Summer Rocks LLC, which proposed the festivals and have a 20-year lease, including a non-compete clause prohibiting similar, new, for-profit events in the area. The city is expected to earn $400,000 per festival for providing municipal services and as much as $1.5 million from ticket fees during the first 10 years of the deal.
