Shots were fired, multiple people were stabbed and several people were transported to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries following the incident outside the
The fight did not start or enter the Foundry, though the venue did pull the plug on the event it was hosting at the time – Firefest – police told the paper.
A bystander told the local WOIO News she saw three men wearing hoodies and covered in tattoos.
“They slammed into my car because they were fighting,” she said. “There’s blood all over my car and dents. I just ran. There were guys everywhere fighting. I heard four gunshots.”
The station added that shell casings and blood were visible at the scene.
Though an investigation into the cause of the incident is ongoing, Foundry GM Mark Witherspoon suggested in a Facebook post the incident may have been gang-related.
“This was a crew related beef between FSU and SOSF,” he wrote. “This was not a product of the wonderful scene that we all represent and have built together!! Most involved in the brawl yesterday had no intentions on coming to the show to watch music … Those patrons who ended up stranded at the club for 6 hours while a crime scene investigation came to watch music.”
