Five For Fighting Enlists Symphonies

Five For Fighting, aka John Ondrasik, loves a symphony. So much, in fact, that he’s lined up a series of symphonic shows across the land.

“There is nothing better than performing my catalogue with a 30-piece orchestra,” Ondrasik said. “All the arrangements heard on the records are realized. Fun stuff!”

What does the Five For Fighting mastermind have in store for fans? Word is he’ll be playing songs from 2013 release, Bookmarks, as well as fan favorites.

Ondrasik’s symphony engagements are mixed in with other gigs. Here’s the Five For Fighting schedule with symphony performances marked in bold.

July 12 – Oakville, Calif., R. Mondavi Winery
July 19 – Interlochen, Mich., Interlochen Center For The Arts (with the Traverse City Orchestra)
Aug. 7 – Grand Rapids, Mich., Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park (with the Twilight Symphony Orchestra
Aug. 16 – Park City, Utah, Deer Valley Resort Snow Park Outdoor Amphitheater
Sept. 14 – Highland Park, Ill., Ravinia Festival At Ravinia Park (with the Ravinia Festival Orchestra)
