Laneway Festival Postpones NA Return

Australia’s Laneway Festival postponed its return to North America to 2015. 

Its September 2013 debut at Meadow Brook Music Festival near Detroit drew 7,500 with a bill featuring Sigur Ros, The National, Warpaint, and Aussies Flume and 

Its September 2013 debut at Meadow Brook Music Festival.

It signed a three-year deal with Meadow Brook but a posting on its website April 25 explained, “Unfortunately, artists’ scheduling was our biggest obstacle and we didn’t want to compromise the quality of the festival we all expect.”

Laneway also stages in Australia, New Zealand and Singapore.
