Industry Noize: Walmart AMP

The 6,000-capacity amphitheater under construction in Rogers, Ark., is named Walmart AMP and is on track to open in June.

Walmart is one of many sponsors involved in making the project, launched in October, a reality.

Amenities include a 5,400-square-foot stage, 3,000 fixed and 3,000 lawn seats, upgraded concessions, air-conditioned restrooms and upgraded video, lighting and audio equipment.

Concerts on the books through mid-September include Darius Rucker, Pat Green, Willie Nelson, Alison Krauss & Union Station feat. Jerry Douglas, Steve Martin & the Steep Canyon Rangers feat. Edie Brickell, Boston, Foreigner, and Jake Owen.
