Live Nation To Stream Concerts

Live Nation has signed a deal with Yahoo that will see daily live concerts being streamed via a dedicated online channel.

“The Live Nation Channel on Yahoo will build on Live Nation’s leading live music platform of 23,000 annual concerts, including the world’s largest festival portfolio. With Yahoo, we will leverage our scale to establish a media platform unlike any that exists today,” LN CEO Michael Rapino said. “Launching this summer, this channel will offer fans a new destination where they can watch their favorite artists and also discover new ones.”

The channel will also feature artist interviews, behind-the-scenes footage and a video-on-demand live concert library. It is expected to provide advertisers with a new global platform and the companies are collaborating to create and sell corporate partnerships that will enhance the fan experience, according to a statement.

The Live Nation Channel is scheduled to launch this summer.
