A Few More Dates: Eagles, Idina Menzel, Paul Rodgers
The customer is always right, right? So, thanks to “overwhelming fan demand,” the Eagles have added another show at Madison Square Garden. The Sept. 18 gig will be the band’s fifth performance at the famed New York City venue since the “History of the Eagles” tour began in July 2013. You can catch MSG concert No.4 on Sept. 13.
An American Express cardmember presale begins May 5 at 10 a.m. EDT. Tickets go on sale to the public May 10 at 10 a.m. EDT.

Idina Menzel has just about done it all, from earning a Best Actress Tony award for her role as Elphaba in the Broadway musical “Wicked” to starring as the voice of Elsa in Disney’s “Frozen” to appearing on “Glee.” But one thing she’s never done is take the stage at New York City’s Radio City Music Hall.
The actress/singer will get her chance June 16. By that point she’ll know if she’s received another Tony for her performance as Elizabeth Vaughan in “If/Then.”
Tickets for the Radio City Music Hall gig go on sale May 5 at 10 a.m. EDT.

And three days after Menzel plays The Big Apple, Paul Rodgers will be there to perform at Town Hall.
The Free and Bad Company singer will be joined by the all-star Memphis studio musicians that helped Rodgers record The Royal Sessions.
The LP, which was released in February, features Rodgers’ take on classic soul and R&B songs including “I Can’t Stand The Rain,” “Walk On By” and “I’ve Got Dreams To Remember.”
Attendees at the one-time “Royal Session Live” show on June 19 can expect a full set of the beloved tunes.
“Throughout The Royal Sessions’ recording, the love for the music was a palpable presence in the studio,” Rodgers said. “I absolutely cannot wait to tap into that energy again in a room full of music fans in NYC.”
The Royal Sessions musicians include Reverend Charles Hodges Sr. on the Hammond B3, bassist Leroy Hodges Jr., Archie “Hubby” Turner on the Wurlitzer, guitarist Michael Toles and drummer Steve Potts, along with The Memphis Horns – Marc Franklin on trumpet, James L. Spake on baritone sax, Gary Topper on tenor sax and Lannie “The Party” McMillan Jr. on tenor sax. Plus, The Royal Singers will be there, including Shontelle Norman, Sharisse Norman and Stefanie Bolton.
A presale began today. Tickets go on sale to the public Friday, May 2 at 10 a.m. EDT.
