Pixies In The Fall

Traveling in support of the band’s first studio album in 22 years, the Pixies announce leg No. 2 with dates on the West Coast, a few gigs in Canada and stops in Minnesota and Wisconsin.

The Pixies are working the road as the band did back in the day by releasing new music and touring like crazy.  Having released its first new song in a decade – “Bagboy” last spring, the Pixies issued its new long player – Indie Cindy – last month.

International festivals are on the band’s agenda for spring and summer, including London’s June 8, in Zagreb, Croatia, June 25 and “Summer Sonic” and Aug. 16, 17, respectively.

The fall North American dates include shows in clubs as well as a performance at the Hollywood Bowl for the   Here’s the schedule:

Sept. 28 – Los Angeles, Calif., Hollywood Bowl (KCRW’s World Festival)
Sept. 30 – San Francisco, Calif., Nob Hill Masonic Center
Oct. 2 – Garden City, Idaho, Revolution Concert House And Event Center
Oct. 3 – Spokane, Wash., INB Performing Arts Center
Oct. 5 – Calgary, Alberta, MacEwan Conference And Event Centre
Oct. 6 – Edmonton, Alberta, Shaw Conference Centre
Oct. 7 – Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, TCU Place
Oct. 9 – Winnipeg, Manitoba, Burton Cummings Theatre
Oct. 11 – Minneapolis, Minn., The State Theatre
Oct. 12 – Madison, Wis., Orpheum Theater

Royal Blood will open most dates. Gogol Bordello and Cat Power support Sept. 28.
