Conor Oberst Books Fall U.S. Tour

Conor Oberst has planned another 2014 road trip through the States. The Bright Eyes frontman has more dates to do in support of his upcoming solo album, Upside Down Mountain, which is due out this month via Nonesuch Records.

The singer/songwriter is celebrating the May 19th release with a performance that evening on NBC’s “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.” The next night he’ll be at Rough Trade NYC in the Brooklyn neighborhood Williamsburg. Tickets will be available at the door.

Tune in to “CBS This Morning: Saturday” to see Oberst play two tracks from Upside Down Mountain.

Oberst launches his 2014 trek on Thursday in Saxapahaw, N.C. Dawes is joining the musician on the road, doing double duty as the tour’s special guest and Oberst’s backing band.

The new set of dates kicks off in September, following an excursion to Europe this summer.

Tickets for Salt Lake are available now. A presale for Houston and Austin begins Thursday, May 8. The general onsale for most dates begins Friday, May 9.

A presale for the John Prine co-headline show begins May 16. The general onsale is May 17.
