Spinning Top Launches Label With Warner Music
Spinning Top Music, which manages Tame Impala and Pond, has launched Spinning Top Records.
It is a team-up with ADA, the independent arm of Warner Music Australia. Spinning Top founder Jodie Regan said that while Impala and Pond found global attention on major labels, many Aussie acts are being ignored.
“We have gotten a little frustrated with the rather tired strictures of the corporate world,” Regan pointed out. “So we asked, why don’t we do it ourselves and let our belief in our artist’s creativity run wild and free?”
