The Piano Guys Add December Gigs

Cellist Steven Sharp Nelson and pianist Jon Schmidt are looking ahead to the end of the year as they add fall dates, including December shows, to The Piano Guys’ already hefty schedule.

Yes, we’re talking Christmas shows for the two Utah dads who found musical success via YouTube.  With a sing-along repertoire that is expected to include seasonal classics such as “Silent Night” and “We Three Kings” along with a medley of “Winter Wonderland/Let It Snow,” this could be the best holiday bang for your family’s buck.

The Piano Guys’ latest self-made video – “The Mission/How Great Thou Art” – was inspired by the group’s plan to film at all Seven Wonders Of the World, the same goal that resulted in shooting the video for “Kung Fu Piano: Cello Ascends” at China’s Great Wall.

But it’s not all videos for The Piano Guys.  There are also albums, specifically three long players on Portrait/Sony Music Masterworks, including the holiday-themed A Family Christmas.
