Jeff Tweedy’s Solo Summer Plans

Wilco’s Jeff Tweedy has added a handful of new dates to a solo road trip through the States, with the promise of more details to come on a “soon-to-be-released” solo album. Several festival appearances are lined up, including two nights in the provinces.

Following last December’s solo tour, Tweedy will be joined by a new backing band made up of his son Spencer Tweedy on drums, guitarist Jim Elkington, bassist Darin Gray and keyboardist Liam Cunningham.

As for the setlist, the show will be loosely broken up into “at least two parts.” You’ll get to hear the band playing tunes from the upcoming solo album as well as Tweedy performing acoustic selections from his Wilco and Uncle Tupelo catalog.
