Dylan, Eagles Heading Back Downunder
The dates, through Chugg Entertainment, kick off at Claudelands Arena in Hamilton, New Zealand, Aug. 9.
Dylan and band then play Perth’s Riverside Theatre (Aug. 13-14), Melbourne’s Palais Theatre (Aug. 18-19), Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre (Aug. 25), Canberra’s Royal Theatre (Aug. 29), Adelaide Entertainment Centre (intimate mode) (Aug. 31), Sydney’s State Theatre (Sept. 3-4), and CBS Canterbury Arena in Christchurch, New Zealand, (Sept. 10).
Frontier Touring confirmed the Eagles’ History Of The Eagles tour extends to Australia and New Zealand over eight shows in February and March 2015.
It marks the band¹s first visit to New Zealand in 20 years. The dates are a mix of arenas, wineries and the Hanging Rock outdoor site.
They kick off Feb. 18 at Perth Arena and winds up at Mt Smart Stadium in Auckland March 14.
Dainty Group brings Queen back for the band’s first Australian tour since 1985. Fronted by Adam Lambert, the four-date arena run begins Aug. 22 at Perth Arena and winds up at Brisbane Entertainment Centre Sept. 1.
Dainty Group’s Paul Dainty said, “Since I have started promoting and producing concert tours, one of my biggest dreams has been to bring Queen back to Australia and now this dream is a reality.”
Frontier Touring rescheduled Lorde’s tour, after she canceled her April/May run due to exhaustion. The eight arena dates now happen July 5-20. Select Touring has Passenger for 11 arena and theatre shows Jan. 16 to Feb. 7 behind his upcoming sixth album, Whispers.
Australian singer/songwriter Betty Who and Swedish indie pop artist Tove Lo were added to the Australian leg of Katy Perry’s Prismatic World Tour, Dainty Group announced. Betty Who will open for the Nov. 7-28 shows, and Lo Nov. 30 to Dec. 15.
British indie duo Thumpers makes its Australian debut through Chugg Entertainment, in association with Hub Artist Services. The duo will play a club show in Sydney and Melbourne in mid-July.
Melvins frontman King Buzzo is set for a 10-date solo acoustic tour Aug. 13-26 through Frontier Touring. Seattle-born multi-instrumentalist and singer/songwriter K Ishibashi makes his debut under the name Kishi Bashi. He plays a club show each in Sydney and Melbourne in early July through Chugg Entertainment.
