Erasure Lights ‘The Violet Flame’

There’s good news for Erasure fans as Vince Clarke and Andy Bell announce a new album backed by a global tour launching in Florida in September.  Plus, the group will play New Year’s Eve in NYC.

Produced by Richard X, The Violet Flame arrives Sept. 23.  The long player will be available for preorder May 28 beginning at 5 a.m. EDT.  Available in in single, deluxe and box-set formats, pre-ordering options will include ticket bundles.

The tour follows the group’s appearances at Britain’s Car-Fest in Cheshire Aug. 1 and Car-Fest South in Hampshire Aug. 22.  After playing December shows in Europe and in London, Erasure comes back to the U.S. for a Dec. 30-31 run at New York’s Terminal 5. Here’s the plan:
