Taylor Swift‘s sold-out June 9 Bangkok concert was canceled by the organizers, BEC-Tero Entertainment, who cited the current state of emergency in Thailand.

Swift almost immediately tweeted, “I’m sending my love to the fans in Thailand. I’m so sad about the concert being cancelled.” It would have been her first-ever show in Thailand.

The Thai military has taken over the reins of government following protracted political strife in the Southeast Asian country, and last week imposed a 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. curfew.
