Industry Noize: Atelier Team Gets New Venue

The team behind Luxembourg club venue Den Atelier and the country’s Rock A Field Festival will next year be running a new 3,500-capacity hall in the capital’s Luxexpo building.

The new venue – which is called H6 – is to open next spring and fit between Den Atelier’s maximum 1,200 capacity and the 6,500-capacity Rockhal, which is in southern Luxembourg at Esch-sur-Alzette.

The H6 will also have a 100-capacity room for emerging acts.

The Luxexpo is a prime site in the centre of the city of Luxembourg, surrounded by shops, restaurants, and hotels.

The main features are the Luxexpo Exhibition Centre and Kirchberg Station, which means it’s easily accessible by public transport. It’s also close to motorway junctions and has ample parking space. The H6 offers the Den Atelier team the opportunity for expansion, while still enabling it to promote shows at the club, larger productions at Rockhal and also Rock A Field.

This year’s festival is adding a third day but prospects already look good, as three-quarters of the 20,000 tickets have already sold. The June 27-29 lineup has Kings Of Leon, Thirty Seconds To Mars, Sportfreunde Stiller, Skrillex, Interpol, Ellie Goulding, and White Lies.
