The Allman Brothers’ Final Shows

Your last chance to see The Allman Brothers Band will in in New York in late October as the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame group schedules the final shows to close an illustrious career.

Formed in 1969, The Allman Brothers Band has seen some changes over the years and almost came to an end with the 1971 death of co-founder Duane Allman.  But brother Gregg Allman kept the flame burning for 45 years.  Today’s Allman Brothers Band includes founding members Allman, Butch Trucks and Jaimoe along with longtime members Warren Haynes, Derek Trucks, Oteil Burbridge and Marc Quinones.

The plan calls for The Allman Brothers Band to make up its missed Beacon shows that were postponed earlier this year.  Originally scheduled for March 25-26 & 28-29, those performances will now take place Oct. 21-22 & 24-25.  Tickets purchased for the original concerts will be honored at the newly rescheduled gigs.  Ticket holders who can’t make the new dates can obtain refunds at points of purchase prior to Aug. 1.

But that’s not all folks.

Following the makeup shows, The Allman Brothers Band will appear at the Beacon Oct. 27-28, a proper swan song for that group that has appeared at the NYC venue 232 times since beginning their annual run at the theatre.  Ticketing information for the last two shows will be announced shortly.

So feast your eyes on the very last Allman Brothers tour and make plans now to catch the swan song of an American classic.
