Future Music Group locked him in for five national dates June 22-28. Nine Lives added two extra stadium dates, in Sydney (Feb. 8) and Melbourne (Feb. 15), for One Direction’s 2015 On The Road Again tour. The British band now plays seven shows Feb. 7-20.

Frontier Touring has Danish singer/songwriter Agnes Obel making her debut with three theatre shows Nov. 25-28. Also making their debut are Norwegian five-piece Highasakite, doing two club shows (Sept. 18 and Sept. 20) through Laneway Presents.

Comedian Gabriel Iglesias returns after two sellout tours for a mix of five arena and theatre shows Sept. 20-27 through Adrian Bohm Presents.

Katy Perry will play Auckland’s  Dec. 19-20, marking the end of her The Prismatic World Tour. She was tipped to do a third show, at Dunedin’s , but according to Dainty Group her Australian tour just before kept adding dates (now totaling 23) and the singer ran out of time.

Swedish singer Tove Lo will open. Perry’s Prism album debuted at No. 1 in New Zealand in October. Her most recent dates in New Zealand were in 2011, when she sold out two Vector Arena shows and one at Wellington’s .

Scottish band Biffy Clyro, who pulled out of Gisborne’s Rhythm & Vines festival in 2009 due to medical reasons, will now make its NZ debut at Auckland’s  Sept. 2.
