Jeff Bridges Will Be Here Soon
Bridges will also show some love to the Midwest this summer as he continues supporting his 2011 self-titled album and 2000 debut, Be Here Soon. The August-September trip will launch with shows in Minnesota, Wisconsin and Illinois, as well as Tennessee.
But first Bridges has a few gigs lined up this month. After two nights in Las Vegas June 20-21, he and Sheryl Crow will co-host the Austin City Limits’ 40th anniversary concert. The music series will celebrate with performances from the co-hosts as well as Bonnie Raitt, Gary Clark Jr., Alabama Shakes, Kris Kristofferson, T Bone Burnett, Robert Earl Keen, Doyle Bramhall II, Jimmie Vaughan and more.
If you didn’t get tickets to the sold-out show benefiting Austin PBS station KLRU-TV, you can catch the special on PBS when it airs Oct. 3.
You can also see Bridges on the big screen this summer with the film adaptation of Lois Lowry’s children’s novel “The Giver.” The sci-fi drama opens Aug. 15.
