Four For Basement Jaxx

If awards were given for the shortest coast-to-coast tour, Basement Jaxx’s July crossing would definitely be a contender.  The British electronic duo has slotted a four-city DJ run beginning in Los Angeles.

So far it looks as if fans in the colonies won’t see a lot of Basement Jaxx this year.  Other than playing Miami’s festival in March, the group has pretty much kept to the other side of the pond and the Euro/U.K. festival circuit.

The brief stretch of roadwork is in support of the new Basement Jaxx album, Junto, dropping Aug. 26 via Atlantic Jaxx/PIAS. While the original version of “Never Say Never” will be released shortly before Junto lands in stores, you can purchase the Mark Knight remix version via Beatport.  Just click here.

Looking for a taste of the new long player??  Basement Jaxx is streaming two songs from Junto – “Unicorn” and “Mermaid Of Salinas” – via SoundCloud.

But wait, there’s more!  More as in the video for “Unicorn” created by animator/video artist Tomek Ducki.

Onward to the tour:

July 11 – Los Angeles, Calif., 333 Live
July 12 – San Francisco, Calif., The Public Works
July 16 – Brooklyn, N.Y., Verboten
July 17 – Toronto, Ontario, The Hoxton

Age restrictions may apply.  Click here for more info.
