Lawyer Shukat Dies
Peter S. Shukat, 69, an entertainment lawyer who managed the estates of artists including John Lennon, Jimi Hendrix, Miles Davis and Bob Marley, died June 7 after a long battle with cancer.

Shukat was a founding partner of New York firm Shukat Arrow Hafer Weber & Herbsman, and also worked with artists including Yoko Ono, Al Di Meola and Marshall Crenshaw over the years.
He lectured on music law at schools including Syracuse University, The New School, Cardozo Law School and The Tulane University School of Law, and was an adjunct professor at Brooklyn Law School.
