Outkast Comes Home

When Antwan “Big Boi” Patton and André“3000” Benjamin announced they were reuniting as Outkast, they said they would play more than 40 festivals throughout the year.  Now they’ve announced their own extravaganza, taking place in their hometown of Atlanta.

The show scheduled for Sept. 27 at Centennial Olympic Park not only features Outkast topping the bill but will also have Big Boi and André 3000 curating the event.   The show’s supporting partners are local radio station V103, Creative Loafing, Rival Entertainment and Bowery Presents.

Needless to say, the guys are very, very excited about coming home.

“It’s only right that we give the hometown what we’ve been giving the rest of the world, Atliens in ATL, homecoming!  Festival Killers!” Big Boi said.

“Coming from Atlanta gave us the freedom to be whatever we ever wanted to be because no one was paying attention,” André 3000 said.  “Now that everyone is, we want to say thank you.”

Expect more artists to be announced.  Meanwhile, tickets will go on sale June 18 at 10 a.m. EDT.  Visit OutkastAtLast.com for more info.
