Salt Lake Club Stabbing

Police were called to the Infinity Event Center concert June 6 after a man in the crowd was stabbed.

The victim, who suffered non life-threatening injuries, was taken to a nearby hospital.

Salt Lake police detective Veronica Montoya told the Deseret News the stabbing wasn’t the only issue of the night; the sidewalk outside the event center was reportedly crowded with people waiting to enter the venue, which was already at capacity.

Officers were asked to help disperse the crowd, and fans “got a little agitated,” Montoya said. A fight broke out and two men were arrested – one who allegedly punched an officer, and another who tried to stop police from finding the suspect in the stabbing. The

men were booked into Salt Lake County Jail for obstructing justice and obstructing justice and inciting a riot, respectively, the Deseret News reported.
