There is no joy for Sarah Brightman’s fans as an injury forces the singer to cancel her U.S. dates slated for August.

The woman who wants to be the first singer to travel to the International Space Station was scheduled to play several major U.S. markets, including Los Angeles, Boston and Houston.

“I have suffered a hairline fracture to my ankle and have been advised by my doctors to rest it until September by which time it will have fully recovered. I have, regrettably, taken the decision to cancel my forthcoming U.S. dates in August. I apologize for any disappointment caused.”
