“I just didn’t want to put any chemicals in it after that,” she said. “After you lose it, you don’t want to do anything that might cause a problem again.”
Bryan claims she was hired in September 2013 and didn’t receive any comments about her hair until March, when her supervisor allegedly told her she “looked like she stuck her finger in a socket and was electrocuted.”
The comments didn’t stop there. A few days later, security manager LaNiece Tyree allegedly told Bryan she “needed to do something with her hair” to tame it.
Bryan told the Post she agreed to wear a headband but felt her boss crossed the line after asking her to wear her hair in a ponytail.
“Plaintiff Tiffany Bryan is a black woman who was ridiculed, discriminated against and effectively terminated for the way she wears her hair,” the suit says.
