Niagara Fest Goes On
The Niagara Music and Arts Festival, potentially jeopardized by the arrest of its executive direct on fraud charges just weeks earlier, went off without a hitch in Niagara Falls, N.Y., June 20-22.

In fact, it appears to have been a rousing success, with 21,000 concertgoers – including some venturing over the border from Canada – turning out for 35 local and regional bands, as well as 25 food and 40 art vendors, according to the Niagara Falls Reporter.
Executive Director Rick Crogan, who organized the event, was indicted June 6 on charges of diverting festival sponsorship money for personal use.
He pleaded not guilty to two felony counts of grand larceny and one of scheme to defraud and released on his own recognizance, according to the Buffalo News.
