Chromeo’s Fall Flight

The string of dates includes stops around the U.S. plus several cities in Canada during September and October with Australian producer Wave Racer joining as special guest.

The outing is apparently presented by Chromeo’s “newly acquired airline” Mallard Air. The pair released a statement earlier this month that they’d entered a partnership with the company, which claims to be “The Midwest’s newest budget airline, now serving 10 hubs in 2014!”

Chromeo frontman Dave 1 explained at the time that “when Mallard approached us about share acquisition, we thought it was a joke,” but that he was encouraged by their business managers to “diversify our investments. For a band like us, this feels bold and new.”

P-Thugg added that “we spend our life on airplanes, and there’s always something wrong: from the uniforms to the business class menu, to the way they handle oversize baggage. Our association with Mallard will give us the opportunity to change that and to offer a travel experience the way we see it.”

All links on the Mallard Air website appear to be broken, although the company does maintain a Twitter account.

Chromeo fanatics that can’t wait until the fall still have plenty of chances to catch the duo this summer on the main stages of festivals including Lollapalooza, Outside Lands and Austin City Limits, plus headlining shows at Red Rocks and Central Park Summer Stage.
