The shed was shuttered in 2007 and demolished in 2012. Polaris 91 LLC, which owns the lot, has proposed an extension of the Gemini Place retail area adjacent to the land.

Polaris 91 partner Franz Geiger told the local ThisWeek he envisions a mixed-use development featuring office, retail and apartment space.

“I (also) could see a health-care facility of some sort or, possibly, a car dealership,” he said. Geiger added construction could begin in 2015, should all go as planned.

The group has reportedly been in talks with officials and the Ohio Department of Transportation regarding the project. An ODOT spokeswoman told the paper the department has committed $2.5 million in funding toward the project.
