Usana Parking Probs

A Def Leppard fan who needed a disabled parking spot missed a June 23 concert at Usana Amphitheatre in Salt Lake City after being directed to the general lot because all disabled spots were taken.

Anne Patrick says she wasn’t able to make it from the lot up a steep, rocky hill to the venue and eventually gave up on going to the show, KSTU-TV reported.

Further, she told the station she saw other disabled patrons struggling to make it to the concert.

“It was horrifying for me to see. I saw people in wheelchairs trying to be pushed over it – their wheelchairs were wobbling and people in crutches were trying to walk over it and it was extremely far from the venue,” she said.

Patrick added she isn’t seeking a refund and hopes the venue will have enough handicapped spots in the future or find other ways to get disabled fans to the show. The venue did not reply to a request for comment at press time.
