Judas Priest Will Redeem Your Soul

Judas Priest is crossing the Atlantic this fall to take over U.S. venues from Rochester, N.Y., to San Jose, Calif., along with special guest Steel Panther. By that point you’ll have plenty of time to soak in the act’s 17th studio album.

Redeemer Of Souls is due out July 8 in the U.S. and July 14 in the U.K. Fans have been waiting since 2008’s Nostradamus was released for a new LP. This marks the first album to feature guitarist Richie Faulkner, who took over after founding member K.K. Downing left in 2011.

Loudwire says Redeemer Of Souls is one album that’s earned the right to wear the “epic” badge of honor.

“The word ‘epic’ is thrown around too often in the world of music, but Judas Priest’s new album Redeemer of Souls is, in fact, truly epic. From Rob Halford’s powerful vocals to Glenn Tipton and Richie Faulkner’s monster riffs and soaring guitar solos, ‘Redeemer of Souls’ takes listeners on a fantastical metal journey from beginning to end.”

The English heavy metal band is celebrating the new LP with a run of July album launch parties in its home country, including a show where it all began in Birmingham.
