Gregg Allman Tour Changes

Gregg Allman has called off a handful of dates, including tonight’s show in Seattle, after reportedly checking into a hospital. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member won’t be taking the stage this weekend either.

The Oregonian reports that Allman “checked himself into a hospital on Monday.” The paper quotes Waterfront Park festival artistic director Peter Dammann.

“I called up his agent and said, ‘What’s going on?’” Dammann told the Oregonian. “They said, ‘We’re evaluating, we’ll get back to you.’ A couple hours later, I got a note from management that said, ‘We’re canceling the whole tour.’ They didn’t give us any specifics on what’s happening with Gregg.”

Allman was supposed to play the Waterfront Blues Festival July 6 in Portland, Ore., at the Tom McCall Waterfront Park. Sunday’s schedule will go on with performances from Boz Scaggs, Ivan Neville’s Dumpstaphunk and more acts.

His July 5 show in Spokane, Wash., at Martin Woldson Theater At The Fox is being postponed. Tickets will be honored for the new date, which hasn’t been announced yet.

The July 1 show in Boise, Idaho, at the Morrison Center is also being rescheduled. As for Allman’s July 2 ZooTunes performance at Seattle’s Woodland Park Zoo, that show is canceled and all tickets will be refunded.

Neither Allman’s agent or manager were available for comment when Pollstar called earlier today. His next scheduled appearance is July 19 in Century City, Calif., as part of “Country In The City.”

Allman suffered from bronchitis earlier this year, forcing The Allman Brothers Band to postpone a few nights of its annual run at New York’s Beacon Theatre.
